Your digital transformation partner.
We’re proud to announce that Versent is a double finalist for the 2021 ARN Innovation Awards, presented by IDG. Versent has been shortlisted from a field of 470+ tech industry nominees.
In the category for outstanding enterprise, Versent has been selected based on our track record of outstanding customer solutions and innovation in the cloud technology space.
In addition to our selection as a business, this year’s awards shortlist also includes VMS Managing Director Dean Robinson as a finalist in the Management Excellence (Partner) category. Dean has been shortlisted based on his outstanding leadership in the realm of mentorship and team development.
2021 awards bigger than ever
“ARN congratulates Versent – and Dean Robinson in particular – for becoming Innovation Awards finalists,” said Cherry Yumul, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships & Innovation at IDG. “We seek transformative projects and examples of best practice that produce significant impact to customer service, and this year’s nominees did not disappoint.”
Now in its fifteenth year, the ARN Innovation Awards represents the outstanding achievements of the entire Australian tech industry.
“This fifteenth ARN Innovation Awards have undoubtedly captured the most challenging yet transformative period of the Australian channel,” Yumul said. “On the one hand, battling against the odds to keep businesses running during COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions, yet on the other, raising the bar for industry excellence through the deployment of bleeding-edge technologies and solutions.”
ARN received a record-breaking number of submissions for the 2021 Innovation Awards. This year’s awards have produced 315 finalists, including 85+ individuals, from a field of 470 nominations, including enterprise vendors, telcos, and distributor businesses. The award finalists come from organisations across Australia, representing all states and territories.
Winners will now be chosen by an executive judging panel of business leaders from technology partner, vendor and distributor organisations.
Finalist Dean Robinson talks about his leadership work
ARN Innovation Awards Management Excellence finalist Dean Robinson has been part of the Versent team since the earliest days of the business.
“I came on board to set up the Managed Services division of the business in 2016,” Robinson said.
“At Versent, you don’t get penalised for asking questions – that’s the express route to learning. I’ve always encouraged a culture of skill sharing in my VMS team. After a while, that was working so well we gave it a bit of structure, and that’s how the Versent Managed Services Associate Program started. We bring in new recruits, recent IT graduates with minimal experience, and as they gain knowledge and confidence, they start to work alongside our customer-facing experts. It creates a culture of mentorship, and that’s one of my achievements as a team manager I’m most happy about. The Associate Program allows people to expand their horizons and carve out career paths that give them self-determination and growth opportunities.”
Winners announced December 2021
Now set for Thursday 9 December, the ARN Innovation Awards will run as an in-person black-tie event to bring the industry back together at ICC Sydney.
