Versent and AWS Sign Strategic Collaboration Agreement to Accelerate AI and Cloud Transformation for Customers

May 12, 2026

Versent has signed a five-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services
(AWS), a significant step forward in helping customers drive AI outcomes, migrate to and
modernise applications in the cloud, and drive business innovation at speed.

At its core, the agreement is designed around one goal: accelerating more effective technology and business outcomes for customers. By combining deep AWS expertise, Versent’s proven delivery models and advanced Telstra connectivity capabilities, the collaboration will help organisations move faster from idea to impact while maintaining high standards of security, performance, and resilience.

“This agreement is about helping our customers realise value from AI and cloud faster, and with greater certainty,” said Paul Nicholls, CEO, Versent. “We’re combining deep AWS capability with Versent’s strengths to deliver solutions that are innovative, secure, resilient and built for real-world enterprise demands.”

“Versent has consistently delivered for AWS customers across some of the most complex cloud and AI environments in Australia. We’re now seeing agentic AI reshaping how organisations operate, and the potential is enormous. Capturing that value requires partners with the technical depth and operational expertise to deliver it responsibly and at scale. This agreement puts a framework around that, giving customers a clear path from concept to production,” said Pip Gilbert, Head of Partner, AWS Australia and New Zealand.

This Strategic Collaboration Agreement builds on years of Versent and AWS delivering secure, resilient cloud and digital transformation outcomes for organisations across government and enterprise industries and takes the partnership a step further by formalising a joint operating model to scale repeatable solutions and accelerate customer impact.

Through the agreement, Versent and AWS will focus on joint go-to-market initiatives across commercial and public sector customers in three key areas:

  • AI-driven cloud migrations: End-to-end migration and managed services that accelerate cloud
transformation and lay the foundations for AI adoption.
  • Agentic AI modernisation: AI-first modernisation of applications and infrastructure, with the
foundations to scale agentic AI across the business.
  • Telstra connectivity-accelerated cloud solutions: Development of joint bespoke offerings to
deliver sovereign-by-design outcomes for regulated Australian workloads.
For customers, the impact is immediate and tangible.

The collaboration provides a faster, more reliable pathway from proof of concept to production, supported by Versent’s end-to-end lifecycle model – from strategy and migration through to build, managed services, and continuous optimisation. This reduces friction, strengthens continuity, and helps ensure long-term value once solutions are live. In addition, customers will benefit from streamlined procurement through AWS Marketplace offerings, improving accessibility and accelerating time to value.

This agreement aims to address the growing challenge of balancing rapid innovation with risk
management.

“Our customers are under increasing pressure to innovate while maintaining control, compliance, and operational resilience,” said Tim Hope, CTO, Versent. “This agreement allows us to meet those needs head on, bringing together cloud, AI, and connectivity into a single, cohesive approach that simplifies transformation and accelerates outcomes.”

Versent’s strong capabilities in sovereign and regulated environments further enhance the value of the agreement. With secure sovereign cloud patterns and digital sovereignty frameworks, public sector and enterprise customers can confidently meet data residency, compliance, and protected workload requirements without compromising on innovation.
