Versent Asia is growing fast: meet our new team members

Jordan Windebank

General Manager, Versent Asia

September 27, 2021

Versent’s ASEAN business is growing explosively: during the 2021 financial year, we achieved triple-digit percentage growth. Since late 2020 we’ve also trebled our customer base, thanks in large part to a lot of new clients joining us from the banking and insurance industries.

I’m tremendously proud of the hard-working people here in our Singapore office who’ve made this rapid trajectory possible. Since taking on the management of our Asian business, my team have constantly impressed me, and they all deserve hearty congratulations for our success.

Rapid growth demands that we expand our team, so hiring has been a high priority for me in recent times. We’ve been bringing many new engineers onto the team to meet our customers’ demand for tech specialists to work on their complex cloud migration projects. In addition, we’ve also added extra delivery management roles to support those projects and ensure smooth customer liaison and support. Welcome aboard to all of you – it’s great to have you on the team.

Now, I’m happy to announce that we’ve also added a host of talented people to our senior team lineup.

Jason Letton

Jason joins Versent Singapore as our Head of Sales, Asia. He previously worked for IBM – most recently as ASEAN Head of Strategic Sales – and has held senior sales roles at HPE, TCS, Dell, Xchanging, Mphasis and IPsoft. Jason’s an expert at customer communications, a vital part of Versent’s commitment to outstanding service delivery.

Stephen Scola

Versent Asia’s new Customer Director is Stephen Scola. Steve comes to us from NTT, where he was APAC Data and Analytics Practice Lead. He has also previously held regional roles at BT and Navteq and spent more than ten years as Senior Managing Consultant at IBM Global Services. Steve has a master’s degree in International Management from the University of Denver, and he’s a valuable asset to our client delivery work.

Callum Davies

Callum Davies has joined our team in Singapore as a Principal Consultant. Callum was previously a Lead Technical Solutions Consultant at IBM and holds an honours degree in Business and Managerial Economics from Sheffield Hallam University (UK).

Emerson Reichelt

Emerson Reichelt Principal Consultant at Versent

Emerson is another of our new Principal Consultants. Emerson most recently worked for CBRE as Associate Director of Digital and Technical Product. He’s also held senior consultancy roles at AvePoint and OBS and has served as a business analyst at OST and an IT officer at Le Cordon Bleu Australia.

Brian Claus

Joining us as a Principal Cloud Engineer is Brian Claus. Brian has extensive experience in the financial services sector, with prior work for ESW Capital, Citibank and RBC Capital. Brian has achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from York University and has extensive experience in migrating legacy systems to cloud-native applications.

Ahmad Sholehin

Ahmad Sholehin Principal Application Development Engineer Versent Singapore

Ahmad joins Versent Singapore as Principal Application Development Engineer. Ahmad is the founder of MuddLab and the co-founder of Datavis. He is also an associate lecturer at Singapore University of Social Sciences. Before joining Versent, Ahmad worked as a research engineer at the Institute for Infocomm Research, was Technical Director of Reaction Works, and before that, Solutions Architect at Frontedge Capital. Ahmad holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore and a master’s degree in Digital Media Technology from Nanyang Technological University.

Versent Singapore’s busy future

At Versent, we’re seeing rapidly increasing demand from our Asian customers for experienced engineering teams that can build complex cloud environments. Many of our customers have already started their cloud migration journeys but have realised they need deeper expert skill sets and experience to deliver on their transformation agendas.

There’s still a lack of expert cloud capability in the broader Singapore market, so I anticipate that demand for Versent’s services will continue to accelerate quickly over the coming months.

We’re one hundred per cent focused on supporting our existing client base in the successful delivery of their cloud programs, but we’re also continually looking for new, challenging projects where we can make a real difference. At our current growth trajectory, we’re expecting to hire thirty to forty more people before the end of the year.

Versent’s growing fast, so we’re always looking for ambitious, talented people.
