The annual event held in Chicago and hosted by Ping, receives nominations from outstanding companies such as Netflix, Adidas, Cisco System and many more. A huge congratulations to all winners!

This award is testament to Service NSW’s commitment to creating a digitisation strategy that has transformed the way it engages with its customers.

In 2015 the NSW government was operating across a number of individual web portals and backend legacy systems, with limited integration abilities and multiple usernames and passwords for its citizens.

Realising a growing need for a digitisation strategy to connect its multiple processes and platforms to create a seamless customer experience while ensuring customer data was secure – Service NSW engaged Versent to help achieve the digitalisation strategy roll out.

Versent recommended the implementation of a central, federated API framework. The solution has allowed Service NSW to rapidly provision services to a number of NSW government agencies. The APIs are at the heart of the agency’s digitalisation strategy and underpin a whole-of-government centralised payment platform.

By implementing APIs, Service NSW has been able to transform transaction-centric state services into modern customer-centric services. The state has established itself as a digital pioneer with approximately 50 per cent of transactions now being performed digitally.
